Hello to my new subscribers. I hope you’re enjoying what you’ve seen so far.
This year my writing is largely focused on Dungeons and Dragons, releasing pent-up creative energies going back to the late 1980s when I first picked up a copy of R.A. Salvatore’s debut novel The Crystal Shard. It was soon joined by the two DC Comics series, all the SSI ‘Gold Box’ CRPGs, and a good sized collection of TSR sourcebooks and novels.
Now, somewhat older, I’m finally trying my hand at some D&D writing on a serious level. My first book aimed at the DM’s Guild sanctioned fan works store (
https://www.dmsguild.com/) is called Deities and Demigods of Faerûn, a collection of several dozen original gods, demons and planar powers to give a little more divine variety to a D&D game. I hope to have that on the DM’s Guild fairly soon.
I’m also working on a pair of connected sourcebooks set in the deep past of the Forgotten Realms, back when elves ruled the world. Those won’t be out until late this year, but the first draft of one is complete and I’m making good progress on the second.
I haven’t forgotten my Immortal Champions setting, either. I’ve got two collections gathering all my Champions stories on the backburner — they were initially planned for release this year, but have slipped back a little as I’ve focused on D&D writing and publication. In the meantime, if you’re curious, all the ones published so far (as well as some of my earlier, less cohesive fiction and a couple more recent works of alternate history published by the good people at Sea Lion Press) can be found right here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Paul-Leone/author/B00D48S39K
My latest short story collection, The Dweller in Drury Lane and Other Curious Chronicles, is available for free here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Db_5zbbM-ro_cvIfS7SJ-PWtO8530Eke/view?usp=sharing
That’s all for now — stay tuned for more updates on the D&D books and new chapters of The Folly of Askavar every Wednesday!
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to let me know. I greatly appreciate input and interaction!
Have a good weekend, everyone!
